I'm back! + UFC 83 Picks + The First Network TV showing of MMA (Strikeforce) Cung Le vs. Brian Warren

Oh man, I had too much fun this weekend- Anyway, as my returning post, my UFC 83 picks!
PS: Don't send in hate mail if you don't like one of my picks.

Matt Serra Vs. Georges St-Pierre - Welterweight Championship
It's probably going to be GSP, but if I were to bet, I'd put a little bit down on Serra instead, because even though he's an underdog, he still has a great chance at winning.

Travis Lutter Vs. Rich Franklin
Nate Quarry Vs. Kalib Starnes
Charles McCarthy Vs. Michael Bisping
Mark Bocek Vs. Mac Danzig
Joe Doerksen Vs. Jason MacDonald
Jason Day Vs. Alan Belcher
Ed Herman Vs. Demian Maia
Rich Clementi Vs. Sam Stout
Brad Morris Vs. Cain Velasquez
Kuniyoshi Hironaka Vs. Jonathan Goulet

If you would like to bet on this event, go to BetUS.com!

Anyway, for the very first time, on Network television, an MMA event was aired- with Strikeforce now on NBC, will there be more of these partnerships in the future? We'll see.

From that event: Cung Le vs. Brian Warren

Thanks for bringin us the first network fight. Brian Warren was rediculously stupid. He ran outta gas, couldn't even put his hands up to prtoect himself AND he taunted Le. What an idiot!

I think Le kicked Warren in the head so much that he started thinking that he was actually winning the fight.

That's just my theory. :)

Out of curiosity, why are you picking Lutter over Franklin? Seems like a bit of a weird call to me.

Honestly? I'm not sure if he's completely over the whole Silva thing. That's really the only reason- seems a little trivial, but I think that it's always a large factor when it comes to a fight. Then again, he could come out flying, determined to get back on top- that would be great, because I think Franklin is a great fighter.

I do see the fight going either way- Franklin on the feet, Lutter on the ground.

That was just domination on the stand-up by Cung Le... I really hope he starts working on his jiu jitsu more, though.
